Half Way Point!
After visiting the People’s History Museum, I found the vast range of political movements really interesting, especially feminism. Others that were also interesting and shamefully some I was unaware of like ‘Cato street conspirators’. In 1820 an attempt to assassinate the Government was made and I found this particularly helpful to become aware of because it coincides greatly with my project theme and begs the question as to why people would want to destroy the government. Is control a bad thing? The museum also included acts such as The Industrial Revolution, The French Revolution, fight for equality and Sir Frances Burdett’s reforming MP status demanding votes for all and to end corruption.
Although I found this trip interesting, I’m not sure how or if I’d like to involve it in my project.
